Still No Butterflies

Despite the improvement in the weather there are still very few butterflies.  I did the transect today and it was the worst week 12 ever only 12 butterflies.  Still had an Orange Tip and a last year’s Comma.  I did see one Meadow Brown and a Larges Skipper on the way into the wood.

Martyn and I mowed th rides this week and the wood looks great – loads of Orchids and Dragonflies and even Roe Deer.

Martyn photographed Brown Hairstreak larva in his garden – see pdf.
