Laight Rough

Laight Rough is in the north of Grafton Wood and is our latest acquisition.  There is a rough path around it and it is now open to the public.  At the moment it is a mass of Bluebells.

Orange Tip and Migrant Birds

Cyril found Orange Tips last week and more today. Birds:- Chiffchaff, Blackcap, and Willow Warbler.

First Transect 2015

I waited until Easter Monday – what a lovely day  – 19 degrees We broke the world records at Grafton for week one transect.  Butterflies 99 butterflies and 4 Orange Underwings. Brimstone 43, Small Tortoiseshell 2, Peacock 36, Comma 18.
