Debs found an interesting advertisement from Lucas from 1981 RSC programme.  It showed a lovely painting and information about the extinction of the Large Blue.

Christmas Holiday

Although it is the Christmas Holiday the work goes on at Grafton – thinning the canopy on the coppice plot. Many thanks to all the volunteers for the work this year and a very Merry Christmas

Christmas Lunch

The Graftoniams adjourned to Lower Kites Wood for their Christmas lunch.  Miriam supplied venison casserole and  Brown Hairstrak Ale and Dave brought some Grafton sloe gin.  In turn a lot of brash was burnt.
