Adrian Jowitt (Principle Advisor for Woodland Policy for Natural England) organized a visit to Grafton Wood for advisors for BASC and other woodland professionals. The purpose was to use Grafton as an example of good woodland management, with wide rides and large coppice plots. They were also impressed with the natural regeneration of ex-coppice plots. Grafton deer control was discussed at length.
Although it rained Wood Whites were very much on show throughout the meeting.
